SANTHOSH TAKES OVER AS MET CENTRE HEAD
Thiruvananthapuram, October 21, 2005
Shri. K. Santhosh, Director has taken over as Head of the Meteorological Centre, India Meteorological Department (IMD), Thiruvananthapuram. He succeeds Shri. M.D. Ramachandran. This Meteorological Centre controls all offices under IMD and is responsible for all Meteorological activities in Kerala and Lakshadweep.
Prior to his appointment as Chief of Meteorological Centre, Shri. K. Santhosh was functioning at IMD’s Head Quarters Office at New Delhi as Director of the Environmental Monitoring and Research Centre, the Nodal Centre of IMD concerned with monitoring and Research on Meteorological activities related to environmental aspects like Climate change, Global Warning, Ozone Hole and measurements of surface & vertical distribution of Ozone, Solar radiation and Air pollution.
